A few Maui photos

Friday, December 28th, 2007

Here’s four photos I picked from the Maui 300+ shots I have from my canon. The first is a flipper dolphin off the coast of Lanai island (I was told the mark on his belly is from a small nasty little shark), the second one is one of the many amazing sunsets (this one from [...]

Maui … and Buon Natale!

Monday, December 24th, 2007

We just got back from Maui where we spent our last few days in tiny wonderful Hana. I was completely blown away by the whole island and its wildlife. The whole trip was such a fantastic experience: saw whales, dolphins and all kinds of amazingly colorful fish. Snorkeled with turtles in emerald green waters and [...]

Thursday, December 13th, 2007

You know, thursday mornings are hard sometime. It’s hard to get up, the weight of the rest of the week starts really getting to you, sleep hours have slowly been whittled away since monday and they certainly don’t have the nice promise of a friday morning. fragments of Venice

Sunday, September 23rd, 2007

A photo and a drawing, of the wonderful neo-gothic windows of the Palazzo Cavalli Franchetti. If you’ve visited Venice you probably didn’t miss its beautiful architecture, right by the bridge of the Accademia.

Large size images here and here.

Books

Tuesday, August 14th, 2007

So, what did I read this past month?
Natsuo Kirino’s thriller “Out” totally sucked me in. A dark book, but really engrossing and thoughtprovoking. I finished Italo Calvino’s Cosmicomics (I was laughing outloud reading this one) and just started a whole collection of his novels and short stories that I bought in Milan. Plan B [...]

I’m back

Sunday, August 12th, 2007

Wow, it’s been a while, but here I am back from Italy. It was quite a month of relax and celebration, did plenty of sunbathing, swimming, hanging out with fabulous friends, reading good books, visiting great cities. Pretty amazing really, I feel very lucky. Will share more of it all soon, here’s a photo from [...]
