I had a great time at gesture drawing today, we had two models for the session and they were fantastic. It makes so much sense to have two since they really have no choice but really get into it and play act situations. So refreshing and fun.
This is what happens when I don’t go to gesture drawing for a few months. Tough day, except a few I kind of like (the large one on the left for example) mostly crappy drawings in there. But hey, gotta get the bad ones out of your hand before you get to the decent ones, [...]
Ok, just went to the lunch gesture drawing class, hit a so-so day, only like bits and pieces of these studies. I also got a chance to scan the SketchCrawl watercolors from saturday, so you can now see decent versions of those: here, here and here.
Had the first gesture drawing session of 2008 today, really enjoyed it. Here’s the more successful ones. I plan to try and make the tuesdays’ lunch time class as much as possible this year, it’s too liberating and fun to miss.
