Cartoon Art Museum reception
This past Tuesday night we had a fantastic time at the Cartoon Art Museum for the Totoro Forest Project celebration. A second larger room has been added to the exhibition and all the artwork from the auction is now on the walls of the museum. Do check it out if you haven’t yet, it’s really worth a visit (and both rooms are not up for long). The reception was packed, we signed a lot of books, raffled some goodies and had a jolly time chatting with many of you. This benefit project has been a wonderful success, thanks to the money we raised the Totoro Forest foundation has in fact already purchased two pieces of land in the forest! How amazing is that? So great to see the result of our effort. The big Thanks goes to all of you who participated in donating either your time, money or both. Thank you! The icing on the cake is that now thanks to the museum the whole collection gets to be enjoyed by more art lovers, before each piece goes to its respective owner. And being one of those owners waiting for that artwork we won at the auction months ago, let me say to you: thank you, thank you for your patience. For those of you who couldn’t be at the museum: here‘s a nice selection of photos by fellow Pixarian and CAM board member Michael Johnson. And last thing, a huge thank you to my friends and committee members: Yukino, Ronnie, and Dice.
