Venice Chronicles update and talkback.

The book is finally about to be shipped by Amazon too, so if you put an order with them you should be getting it in the mail very soon. They are also now accepting reviews, so if you’ve read the book and wouldn’t mind writing a word or two please go here and share. It might help other peoples to find this book, thank you! Lastly if you have thoughts on the book I’d love to hear them! So please use the comment section of this post to share any feedback you might have. Once again I appreciate your help in getting word of the Venice Chronicles out there, this is a small publishing operation and word of mouth is still the key factor to making the book a success on the shelves. Thank you all!

I received mine last week and enjoyed very much. I also got Sketchcrawl 2 book which is also great. Thanks

  2. Sean Says:

My local comic book store hasn’t received it yet, which annoys me, as I pre-ordered it there. Let’s hope it pops up this week!

    Enrico,

As you know, I was completely smitten with “The Venice Chronicles” comic back when you began posting it online. Each bit you posted was like a cliffhanger that left me wanting more, so I am so happy to now own this delightful little story in print! It’s fabulous – everyone I show it to loves it. In fact, I just posted my first review on Amazon!

I think it would do really well here in Sonoma County — how can we get our local bookstores to carry it?

I love your work! My brother’s coming to Asia this winter with your book. I can’t wait to receive my copy!

  5. Leo Says:

Nancy – We’re distributed by Diamond to the bookmarket. That also means Ingram carries our product. I’d say the best way would be to go in with the ISBN (or book?) and ask them how they’d like to get copies. If they have problems with any of their distributors, I’m sure Enrico would be more than happy to sell direct. Heck, I’m sure E would love to go visit Sonoma! I use to live in Sebastopol back in the day.

Ciao Enrico-I know you’re a busy man but I’d be very grateful for some advice on self-publishing. I’m planning to put out a collection of my café sketches & need to contact a printer so I can get going with layout. Could you give me a lead on a decent printer from your self-publishing days?
    Thnx, Matt

I received my Chronicles in Germany today (from Amazon). The quality is just amazing! Attractive cover (with nice “relief” title), heavy paper and *great* colors! The book feels very sturdy, like the smallest tome I ever held. :) Excellent job all around!

P.S.: I’m not going to fawn over the content here, we’re all familiar with it anway, right? ;)

Hi Enrico! I was pleasantly surprised to find a copy of The Venice Chronicles at Jim Hanley’s in NYC. What a beautiful little book! I love how your location sketches are mixed into the comic story as well as the tangental tales. Congrats on your latest publication!

  12. Tobias Says:

The book was listed in Adlibris (a swedish online bookstore) awhile ago.
As soon as it was available, I ordered it.
Got it today so I’m happy (despite of the lousy weather).

Already looking forward to your next book! No pressure though ;-)

Matt Jones- I’ve used a couple of printers since I’ve started making books … one is in Quebec Transcontinental Printing … good for selfpublishing hardbound kind of books … for the Venice Chronicles instead I’ve used Global PSD printing … in Hong Kong … they have offices in the states too …
look ‘em up, you’ll find info and contacts on their websites. Good luck.

Alexander- Yay, thanks man, glad you’re digging it. :)

Alisa- Nice! Good to hear the book is at Hanley’s … :) Thanks a ton! :)

Tobias- Adlibris? Cool … I’ve bought from them before … great place to find old books out of print.
Next book? You’re gonna need some patience … ;)

Hi Enrico, Thanks for posting my comment (Typos and all ^_^). I live in NY and work in a Comic Book Store. One of the big ones in the heart of the city. When I saw your book I got taken away by the art, I WANT MORE!! I’m also an artist going down the same road you are, and just trying to get some work published, but publisers sure know how to make it difficult! By putting out your work I feel reinvigorated and have hope that my time is just around the corner. All that from a travelloge is not bad, huh? Keep up the good work.
P.S: you also make very interesting interviews. Keep it up sir!

  15. Peter Dyde Says:

    Many thanks

  16. Enrico Says:

Peter Dyde- awesome! Look forward to hear yours and your wife’s impressions!! :)
