The Alternative Press Expo this past weekend was really fun. It’s a tiring weekend but it sure felt good to be back in the swing of it. We met a ton of really wonderful people and we sold one hundred Totoro Forest Books! They go like candy, pretty amazing. Venice Chronicles did well too and it’s been great to hear back from some of the readers. A lot of you in fact seemed to have enjoyed the book a lot, thanks for dropping by and letting me know. Really appreciated. My only complaint this year is that I got a little too busy between sales and a couple of commissions and I ended up not taking enough time to walk around, meet some friends or do some shopping. In fact I bough zero comics. Dang. One nice thing though is that I did one commission I really enjoyed! Steven Ng asked me for a Sherlock Hound sketch and he sure hit home as far as inspiring me. I loved the show since watching it as a kid back in Italy. Here’s what I drew for him. Sorry about the bad photo, I’ve asked him to kindly scan it for me, so hopefully I can show you a better version soon! Cool, later!!!
