Yay! It was about time to replace my defunct Canon. I’m really looking forward to trying out this 50mm lense!

And here’s one of the first tests … wonderfully shallow depth of field.

One more … this is just too much fun.

I recently got the 50mm lens this past summer. It’s wonderful! Best of luck with it!

I’m a bit late in saying this but: I am very envious! Use it responsibly!

That’s a nice lens. I use that one a lot for portraits. The canon Fisheye EF 15mm f/2.8 is my other staple lens. Just preordered the Canon 5D mark II. It is 21MP and does hi-def video.

I recommend the 28mm f/1.8 for the rebel, or xxD series… it equals out to a 50mm lens on that lens because of the sensor size.. and the build quality and focus motor is better. I didn’t like how the front element moved with focusing because that design is way more fragile.. not to mention when it hits the minimum focus distance the focus ring seems to shift a little sometimes. Plus the 28mm has a closer focusing distance…
I’m a little bit of a camera freak! Haha…
