Here’s three more of the pieces I’m making for the “Forest Hero” level tickets to the Totoro Forest Art Auction. There’s some amazing color studies that Ronnie and Dice are also making for this and I can’t wait to see what Jennifer Chang and Bill Cone will do!

From the “Art of Ponyo” book. I think this is a Katsuya Kondo drawing. Wonderful studies of Ponyo, I especially love the upper right one of her sleeping. So effortless. Sorry for the crappy photo, but you know … you should just get the book to see for yourself, it’s filled with beautiful work.

Just picked up Haruki Murakami’s new book: What I talk about when I talk about running. While it’s an unusual departure for Murakami to write a memoir, I’m already thoroughly enjoying this book’s honesty.

Here’s a little drawing of Fio. I’m testing papers to make special Sketchcrawl notebooks! This woodfree (100gsm) cream colored paper is dealing pretty well with watercolors, not much warping, as it’s quite thick and the color went down nicely no bubbly weirdness that some of the moleskine regular paper gives.
