I learned my first words reading his books and it is ingrained in my subconsciousness as well as Mary Blair's designs from Disney's Sleepy Beauty, Cinderella. But, this one hurts. I bought some of Richard Scarry's book for my nephew and niece for Christmas. They just tossed the book aside along with Blair's "I Can Fly" in favor of Dora Explorer book :( Boy, did I feel old. cK E,

It's so nice to have an "excuse" to read these again, especially Richard Scarry. We have a 3 yr old and 1 yr old and consider it duty to indoctrinate them with this stuff.
