Mamma Aiuto

Wow, I just found this old file of some fan art I did of Porco Rosso’s pirates “Mamma Aiuto”. A blast from the past, this drawing is more than 10 years old! I used to do these in pencil, ink them , scan them and then color in Photoshop. It’s kind of how I got familiar with computers. Wow … weird to see it now. I have to find a few of the others I did, I remember doing a bunch of these of all different Ghibli movies. Not sure if I have all the files though … :(

    Your fondness for the characters shines through! Really wonderful:)

    I love saying ‘mamma aiuto.’ Do you know what it means?

    eh eh, true … it rolls of the tongue nicely …
    it means “Mamma Help”. It doesn’t make much sense other than that I think they are momma’s boys kind of pirates …
