Can’t wait for Ponyo

GhibliWorld.com has some interesting news regarding the upcoming Miyazaki San’s movie (Gake no ue no Ponyo – 崖の上のポニョ – Ponyo on a Cliff) and its theme song. Producer Suzuki San has also just started Radio Ghibli, a weekly radio show on and about Studio Ghibli. For japanese speakers the first broadcast is here. For the rest of us Nihongo-challanged you’ll find some interesting excerpts at GhibliWorld.com.
I can’t wait to see what Miyazaki has in store for us with Ponyo. Even more interesting is that it seems Miya San has been storyboarding the whole movie in watercolors!! That book of e-konte (japanese for storyboards) is on my list for most priced possessions of 08! You know about these books right? Ghibli has been publishing books with the boards for each one of their movies, a treasure of inspiration for us in this industry.

    Coool, can’t wait for this one. And those storyboard books really are awesome, if Miyazaki’s doing this one all watercoloured, wow, that will really be something :)
