Kim has a solo artshow this saturday in the city. His new paintings, focusing on San Francisco’s Chinatown, are stunning and refreshing. I am already the proud owner of an amazing piece by Kim but I’ll certainly be there at White Walls Gallery, 835 Larkin.

I have a feeling that one of the byproducts of the Tekkon Kinkreet film (hopefully to be released soon here as well) and the press attention it’s getting, will be that some of the amazing comics by Matsumoto Tayo will finally be given some attention and much needed translation here in the US!
