<description>I would second that Cezanne to Picasso Exhibit- I went on Thursday (the free day at the Art Institute, you still have to pay to get to that special exhibit) and it was really awesome. I especially enjoyed the Bonnard prints they had up.</description>

<description>Wow, Enrico! If you ever find yourself with spare time in Chicago again, give us a heads up and we could probably have an unscheduled sketchbook gathering in your honor.
I haven't been able to hold any lately since life got in the way. But we are always happy to accomodate cross country Drawing Board enthusiasts.

		<description>Thanks Steven

cK- I was there last weekend. I was taken by how similar a feeling Chicago has to New York ...
I didn't get a chance to see some of the buildings you mention, but I am sure I'll be back there. The Frank Geary auditorium in Millenium Park is also impressive.

Chicago's Art Institute is also worth mentioning. Their main collection is impressive
http://www.artic.edu/aic/collections/index.php

and the special exhibition they have on right now "Cezanne to Picasso" is truly fascinating.

Worth the steep $18 ticket.

		<description>Enrico,

When did you visit Chicago? It has been a long time since I visited Chicago but it is architectural wonderland where there are many incredible buildings. They have the Chagall mural as well as Picasso sculpture. The Chicago Cultural center which was featured in Di Palma's "Untouchables" has marvelous tiffany glass. If you have other pictures or sketches of Chicago, please post them.
