Wish I was in L.A. for this exhibition at Six Space. I like the concept and inspiration for this show by Kozyndan. The first time I heard about the Ama divers of Japan was when I met Miyazaki San a few years back at Studio Ghibli. During the small chat the man himself showed us a book of photos of ancient tribal Japan and among those were the Ama. Showing us some amazing photos he stressed “these are the things I want to make a movie about”. Quite the memorable and inspiring afternoon as you can imagine. Anyway, it’s really nice to see Kozyndan doing non digital work, best of luck to the couple for the show, though they hardly need any.
