For some reason, I feel like I am looking at stills from B/W Akira Kurosawa film. (Have you seen High/Low)  There is a timeless feel to these photographs.    You get a real feeling of mystery looking at these shots.  As in the other pictures that you took in Venice, they are  departures from your earlier photography work that you posted. .  The top photograph have a granular feel to them.  I like how you use light in both photographs.
