Stay Together
If you like modern dance and live in the bay area, you might have heard about the Joe Goode Performance group. For the last twenty years they’ve worked at a conjunction point between drama and dance, crafting heartfelt personal stories told in coreography, music and dialogue. They have a new show premiering at Yerba Buena Center on June 2nd: Stay Together.
A collaboration between Joe Goode and the celebrated composer and San Francisco Symphony conductor Michael Tilson Thomas, tackling the subject of the huge difficulty in keeping relationships of any kind, and ourselves, together … whole. They will also perform a revival of one of the Group’s most celebrated pieces: “Deeply there”. I’ve had the chance to see their performances a couple of times in the last few years and I’ve enjoyed them thoroughly each time, I very much look forward to this one.
